Voices of the russian women
I was conscious, in producing this in-person miscellany of Russian poetry, of the way in which all the poets take on the voice of the translator, and thus their specialised personality is lost. It is a job connected with the one and the same act of translation. I would encourage the reader to statistical distribution as galore different alternative versions of these poets as possible, and thereby try to make the individual flavour of each poet for herself or himself.
